Adult Programs
Program Structure
Most of our skill-building programs are capped at 10 participants to ensure quality and personalized attention. Priority booking is given to our VIP participants, but we also welcome guest bookings when space is available.
A small program fee applies to most activities, covering the cost of materials, resources, and any additional support provided. These supports are billed under the appropriate NDIS line items, including Core Supports, Capacity Building - Social, or Improved Daily Living.
If you choose to bring your own support worker (BYO), they are expected to actively facilitate your participation. We encourage support workers to engage in the program rather than using personal devices while at our Skill Centre.
Our Programs
Fit & Fun Circuit
In partnership with Survivor Fitness, we offer a lively group personal training session suitable for various abilities. This circuit class combines fitness and friendship, focusing on core strength in a fun, musical environment. After the 45-minute session, we wind down with a social gathering to connect and recharge.
The Lunch Bunch
Join our Lunch Bunch from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm every day as we visit various venues around town. This group focuses on building independence, money management, social skills, and community participation. Participants practice ordering meals, managing money, and engaging in social conversations. Our goal is to eventually expand to evening meet-ups, offering more opportunities to connect and try new experiences.
Social Games for Everyone
Suitable for all ages and abilities, this program features a range of family-favorite games like Bananagrams, Connect Four, and card games. Bring your favorite game to share or try something new from our collection!
Walking Group
Our morning Walking Group goes beyond fitness—it's about building connections and feeling a sense of achievement. Join us for fresh air, friendly faces, and good endorphins. Don’t forget your hat and water!
Messy Makers
This sensory-rich program involves creating messy play items like colored rice, playdough, cloud dough, slime, and chalk. Participants will make these items to be sold to daycare centers, with proceeds going towards employing people with disabilities for delivery. It’s a hands-on, creative experience with a community focus.
Everyday Beauty
Aimed at building self-esteem and confidence, this program focuses on personal grooming, skincare, hair care, nail care, and makeup. Participants are encouraged to explore self-care routines while forming new friendships and sharing tips.
Smart Arts
Express your creativity with a new art medium each week! Participants will explore different artistic techniques while collaborating with peers, building confidence, and showcasing their unique talents.
Tinker Time
Breathe new life into old items! Tinker Time encourages participants to repurpose and rejuvenate donated goods. Working together, they’ll develop problem-solving skills and spark creativity by transforming everyday objects into something new.
Meal Masters Cookery
Learn basic cooking skills in a hands-on environment. Participants practice measuring, mixing, kneading, cutting, and cooking while emphasizing hygiene and cleaning practices. The goal is to build confidence in meal preparation that can be applied at home.
Rod Squad
Join our land-based fishing program to learn about different baits, hooks, rods, and techniques for catching various fish species. Whether it’s whiting from the beach, flathead from the creek bank, or cod from the boat harbor, the Rod Squad fishes the tides around town.
Grub Hub (Monthly)
Grub Hub is a community care initiative where participants plan, prepare, and serve meals for those in need. Working alongside established community organizations, we encourage volunteering and giving back while building practical cooking skills.
Seasonal and Rotating Programs
We keep our programming fresh and exciting by rotating activities based on participant interest and the time of year. This variety ensures that there’s always something new to try and enjoy!
